Before the agency,
the urge to create.

A move from Réunion. Classes at college. Projects built together. That is how Umbeli began: two paths crossing, and a desire to go further together.

Age 17Leaving home to study

01 / A new setting, the same curiosity

From Réunion to Québec. With plenty to learn.

At 17, Brice left Réunion to study in Québec with a scholarship. A new environment, far from his island and family, with a desire already taking shape: to build something of his own.

Web development became his space to experiment. He learned in class, searched, tried and started again. Design became part of the picture too: understanding how a website works, then what makes people want to explore it.

Before Umbeli came a personal portfolio, the first freelance projects and hours spent working out how to bring an idea to life. That hands-on approach still shapes our work: show an early version, let people try it and improve it.

An eye for detail, right from the beginning.

In 2022, Brice submitted his portfolio to Awwwards. It brought together the code, design and interactions he was exploring. On December 5, the work received an Honorable Mention.

That portfolio belongs to an earlier chapter. Yet it reflects an intention that remains at Umbeli: invite people to explore, pay attention to details and bring design and development together.

03 / A meeting that became an agency

Class projects. Then a project of our own.

Brice and Antoine met at cégep. They took the same classes and built their final projects together. Working together clicked. Six months after graduation, they opened Umbeli.

Cofounder · Development, design & creation

Brice, always creating and sharing.

During his studies, Brice was already freelancing. He moved from an idea to design and then code, while learning to work with clients. Creating content extended that journey: explaining what he discovered and showing the work behind a project.

Antoine Beaudry
Antoine Beaudry

Cofounder · Development & e-commerce

Antoine, a starting point in commerce.

Antoine began by experimenting with dropshipping. E-commerce gave him an early space to try things, understand an offer and explore the buying journey. At cégep, projects with Brice sparked the desire to build together.

Today, that story continues in Trois-Rivières. Websites, software and content are considered together, around what your business wants to achieve.

04 / Learn, then share

Making the Web easier to understand.

On TikTok, Brice takes an educational approach to the Web. He shares what he learns, explains tools and shows how an idea takes shape. Development, design and entrepreneurship become easier to understand through concrete examples.

Teaching is also part of how we work at Umbeli. Explaining a choice, showing what a tool can do and answering questions are part of the project. You should understand what we are building with you and feel ready to use it.

Before we work together

Now that we have met, here are answers to the practical questions about working together.

How does a project usually work with Umbeli?

Every project starts with a discovery call to understand your goals, constraints and priorities. We then define the scope, validate design when needed, move into production with regular checkpoints, and stay available after launch.

What budget should I expect to work with Umbeli?

Budget depends on content, design, features, integrations and data migration. The estimate separates delivery, optional work and recurring hosting, licensing and maintenance costs.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most collaborations happen remotely with clear communication and simple tools. That does not prevent a smooth working rhythm. Depending on the project and location, in-person meetings can also be arranged.

What happens after launch?

After launch, we stay available to fix final details, support handoff and plan the next improvements. Depending on the project, an initial warranty period and ongoing support can be included.

How can I book a call with Umbeli?

You can book a discovery call directly from the website. It is the best way to clarify your needs, ask questions and quickly see whether we are the right fit for your project.
